Activity Of Picking Waxberry

There are four seasons throughout the year, with different flavors. In May of the lunar calendar, the best fruit to eat in Zhejiang is waxberry, which has been released one after another. On June 15th, the company organized a waxberry picking activity and went to pick waxberry from the mountains at the home of colleagues in Lanxi. Her family mainly grows two varieties, “Dongkui” and “Heitan”. The waxberry trees scattered throughout the mountains and fields were covered with clusters of bright red bayberries, each with a plethora of fruits that made people drool. Before setting off for waxberry Garden, we prepared drinking water and sunscreen. The temperature in June was also over 30 degrees Celsius, and “Heitan” was about to go out of the market in mid June. Let’s first go to the mountain where we planted “Dongkui” waxberry, which is full of waxberry. During the picking process, some waxberries were too ripe and fell from the tree. The clothes were dyed red. It is said that after the waxberry season has passed, the color on the clothes will naturally disappear, which we all find very magical. But it was really too sunny. In order to avoid the scorching sun, my colleagues and I sat under the tree, chatting and tasting each other’s picked waxberry. We all felt that the waxberry picked by others was sweeter than the ones we picked ourselves, and enjoyed this wonderful time.

After picking “Dongkui”, we drove to the “Heitan” planting area again. The “Black Charcoal” would be sweeter and very small, requiring more time to pick. By this time, it was already noon and the temperature was even higher. We hid under the tree and picked while eating. In the end, everyone picked two baskets before going to eat.

After arriving in Lanxi, we wanted to taste the local specialties and went to a local restaurant in my colleague’s town to have a meal. We tried stir fried dishes and found them very authentic.
