Recently, our company organized a colorful trip to Chengdu, allowing us to relax amidst busy work and promote team cohesion and cooperation. This activity not only allowed us to enjoy the beautiful scenery of nature, but also enhanced communication and friendship among colleagues.
We arrived at Sanxingdui, Du Fu Thatched Cottage, Sichuan style and elegant charm, and small tavern.
Sanxingdui has a history of 3000-5000 years, and its discovery provides unique physical evidence for the vanished ancient Shu Kingdom, advancing the civilization history of Sichuan region for over 2000 years. The cultural relics scattered on the land of China and collected in museums are witnesses to the continuous growth of the Chinese nation and the embodiment of the long history of Chinese civilization.

In the winter of 759 AD, Du Fu went to Chengdu with his wife and children to avoid the An Lushan Rebellion. He built a thatched cottage in Chengdu and lived there, known as the Chengdu Thatched Cottage. The poem that left the deepest impression on me was 《My Cottage Unroofed by Autumn Gales》. at the beginning was written as “Urchins from southern village know I’m old and weak,They rob me to my face without a blush on the cheek. And holding armfuls of straw, into bamboos they sneak.” Finally he was written as “Could I get mansions covering ten thousand miles,I’d house all scholars poor and make them beam with smiles. In wind and rain these mansions would stand like mountains high.” On the surface, it was said that the autumn wind blew away the thatched leaves on his house, and when the children saw it, they snatched his thatched leaves. He suffered greatly from the wind and rain. Rather than complaining about children grabbing thatch, it is more accurate to say that he sympathizes with the people of the world who suffer from hunger and cold due to war, and has the great idea of hoping for millions of high-rise buildings to allow the poor to live in. He also sighed helplessly as he watched his beloved Tang slowly wither away. Visiting after understanding history can provide a deeper understanding of history and Du Fu’s state of mind. Enjoying in hardship, having a heart for the world but powerless.

After visiting the Du Fu Thatched Cottage, we went together to enjoy Sichuan opera, including the Hu Qin, Suona, puppetry, hand shadow acrobatics, lantern rolling, and face changing performances. The Sichuan style and elegant charm fully showcase the authentic folk skills and classic operas of the Western Shu region. It is a large-scale functional pear garden destination that combines traditional Chinese art performances, folk unique skills performances and operas, and theatrical supplies. After the performance, we came to a small tavern in Chengdu and experienced the small tavern on Yulin Road. Listening to music, chatting, and drinking while rolling dice were also a very enjoyable nightlife.

On the way back, we took out playing cards at the airport and played together. My friend said there is a visual sensation of “I take photos when the house is on fire, and I jump when the street is on fire”.

Our trip came to a successful conclusion in a joyful atmosphere. This trip to Chengdu has enriched our leisure life, enhanced our spiritual outlook, and also brought everyone closer together, thereby promoting smoother work in the future. This trip has laid a solid foundation for the sustainable and healthy development of the company, prompting us to devote ourselves to our future work with more enthusiasm and high fighting spirit, and push our work to the next level!
