Diabetic Socks Manufacturer, Wholesale Supplier
Diabetic socks are designed and built for people with diabetes. They are also an ideal substitute for normal socks for the elderly who are prone to have poor blood circulation on the lower part, especially at the feet. As a socks manufacturer, we have devoted the past several years to the research and development of diabetic socks and have successfully produced a couple of diabetic socks for different brands.
Why Diabetic Socks?
People with diabetes tend to have poor blood circulation at the extremities which decrease the sensation of the feet and weaken the capacity to recover if injured. In certain extreme cases, people might experience numbness on the feet, leaving them more susceptible to injury and wounds. Due to the side effects related to the disease, people can’t be careful enough to take every precautionary measure to protect themselves from any hurt or damage. And socks specially made with features of softness, moisture-wicking, seamless, and most important of all nonbinding are the daily dress code for people with diabetes.
Special features of diabetic socks
Non-binding
Unlike normal socks with proper tightness for hold on, diabetic socks are not supposed to have such binding function which will worsen the already poor blood circulation. Therefore, a loose and fluffy build is the top requirement for diabetic socks. That’s why we have come up with socks with a roll cuff that imposes no pressure on the legs.
Softness
Softness is also a critical factor to be built into diabetic socks. Due to the weakened healing power, the feet should be protected with the softest fabrics possible. Therefore, we use natural cotton and bamboo as the main material to make diabetic socks. To minimize the contamination caused by chemicals, we prefer to use natural color yarns without dyeing them. In case a special color is required to be made, we can dye the yarns with plant dye.
Moisture-wicking
Due to the poor sensation of the feet, it is imperative to make diabetic socks that wick moisture quickly so that the feet are always dry and cool, leaving no space for bacteria and odor to develop.
Seamless Toe
Lots of socks come with a protruding joint at the toe, a technique known as “machine link” inside the industry. Such a toe definitely is not suitable for sensitive skin as it might become the cause of blister. To avoid the side effects, we construct the socks with a seamless toe by “hand linking” that provides a smooth finish.
