Sewing the Pocket

① First, fuse non-woven interfacing onto the wrong side of the pocket opening facing. To make the outer pocket opening facing more structured, an additional layer of fusible interfacing may be applied to the non-woven interfacing on the wrong side of the outer facing piece, according to the finished pattern. Then, make notches on both sides—be careful not to cut into the seam line (leave 0.1–0.2 cm from the seam line), as shown in below picture(a).

② Press seam allowances on both sides. For the inner pocket opening facing, press both side seam allowances inward 0.2 cm from the finished edge,as shown in below picture(b).

③ Fold the inner pocket opening facing to the wrong side and press it flat, as shown in below picture(c).
